According to the table of rains retreats in the later commentaries, the Buddha's 14th is at the Jetavana at Sāvatthī, the first retreat at the Jetavana in the table; the Chinese Sengqieluocha suoji jing also records this year at the Jetavana at Sāvatthī. The table records only the place. Many discourses set at Sāvatthī record only the place and not the year, and are not placed in this year one by one. Taishō Canon
Different Accounts
The Chinese Shi'er you jing places the completion of the Jetavana in the sixth year, but that is the building of the monastery, not a rains retreat.
More differences between accounts (2)
The later commentaries of the say the Buddha lived at the Jetavana for nineteen years in all, but do not say which years, so this cannot be matched against this year.
The Sri Lankan chronicle, the Mahāvaṃsa, has a different account of the Buddha staying at the Jetavana in the fifth and eighth years, given for reference only.
Dating
Year 14 after the Awakening, the Buddha aged forty-eight, during the rains retreat; the year is given by the later commentaries, and only the year is known.
